Originally by: Aslovi Ok I spent sometime going through all the folders and in the Bin folder found Eve.exe double clicked and the game loaded up!!!
I'm no tech guy butI'm guessing the problem with the patch was moving folders around.
Hope it works for you guys

NO WARRANTIES ... CCP does not warrant that the operation of the System or your access to the System, or that your use of the Software, will be uninterrupted or error-free, nor that the System or Software will be compatible with your hardware and software....

It is for this reason, the CCP in no hurry to solve the problem, and forgot about us.

Originally by: Saelie I have found the bug, with mine anyway, then hunted it down and killed it. The problem was McAfee Antivirus - Even though I'd uninstalled it years ago, it left a few rogue services running on my system that I only found by chance in the system configuration utility. Removing these resulted in victory.
My advice (Win XP):
1) Go to the Start menu and select Run. 2) Enter msconfig and run it. A window (System Configuration Utility) should pop up with a bunch of tabs. Warning, screwing around with this program can muck up your computer, so be careful! 3) Go to the Services tab. 4) Check 'Hide all Microsoft services' 5) Look through the remaining, shorter list for anything McAfee-related. 6) If you see any services with the McAfee name, and do not use the software, find and download the McAfee removal tool here. 7) Run it. 8) Restart your computer when prompted. 9) On startup, go back into msconfig and ensure that the McAfee services are gone. 10) Play EVE.
this didn't work for me :<

It seems the repair tool isn't working for the Sisi build as well :/
Try copying a fresh TQ client, and only applying the fallback patch (http://content.eveonline.com/test/evepremiumpatch174282-175988_test_m.exe) against the copied build.
when the patch will be ready for tranquility_client?

Your logic is flawed, my friend. This shouldn't EVER happen because they should extensively test a patch on many different computers to ensure maximum compatibility BEFORE they release it. And now, by not rolling back the version, have caused at least a thousand people to not be able to play the game. If your so confident in them, then please share the reason why this topic has even gotten to 4 pages. Should have never started.
